Robust accessory socket
The socket has been specifically designed so that when an accessory is secured to the portable, the connection can withstand any amount of punishment; from dropping to careless misuse. Furthermore, the securing bolt incorporates a shearing point to protect the connector.

All non-display HT700 portables provide 16 programmable channels. Display portables provide 255 programmable channels.

Keylock
To avoid accidental operation, your radio's keys & controls can be locked by the user or, if set, automatically by the radio.
VOX hands free (with audio accessory)
When using an Entel VOX enabled audio accessory, your HT700 portable can operate hands-free. All you need to do is talk and the HT700 portable will automatically transmit for you.
Programmable channel monitor button
If you have channel protection enabled on your HT700 portable, all signals other than your networks will be filtered out. This can be temporarily disabled allowing you to monitor all signals on your channel.
Talkaround
Some radio systems use a "repeater" to increase the system's range. However when you go outside the range of the repeater, communication with another radio is not possible, no matter how close you are. Talk around enables you to talk directly with another radio, bypassing the repeater.
Individual & Group Calling (advanced models only)
Entel’s advanced 5-Tone Selcall & MPT1327 Trunking models provide Individual, Group & All Call. The radio's contact list can be used to select the person to call, as well as speed dials.
