A Flexible And Compact Communications Solution
Since it is a fully certified Iridium Connected product, Skylink 5100 has been designed for total safety, continuity of coverage and business efficiency, while its slim and compact design allows easy mounting on both mobile and fixed units in order to transfer data in real time from IoT/M2M monitoring tools, asset utilisation and existing sensors.

It can be mounted vertically or horizontally for extra flexibility and versatility, and has a remote antenna. As it measures just 5” x 8” x 1.25”, and weighing only 1 lb, this device is a perfect choice in a wide range of scenarios. It can also be powered in numerous ways including via vehicle ignition, AC/DC adapter or power over Ethernet with an input power requirement of 10 – 34 VDC.

Essentially, the SkyLink 5100 enables total connectivity between all assets in all locations worldwide thanks to its 88 kbps download and 22 kbps upload functionality. Operating via cellular LTE, 2G and 3G networks and using a least cost routing method, the SkyLink boasts GNSS positioning as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for extra convenience. Its local firewall ensures additional security while its two Iridium voice lines, hosted applications and configuration, usage and status monitoring ensure optimal functionality at all times.

Ideal In A Range Of Operating Environments
Capable of operating at temperatures of between -40°C - +70°C, this communications platform is suitable for use in a wide range of physical environments and as it is also IP67 compliant, it is perfect for all outdoor installations. It is also compatible with an optional long-life backup battery to extend its operational time exponentially and ensure longer lasting functionality when out in the field.
